Civil Code No. 91/2015/QH13, Article 37, says sex reassignment shall comply with the law, and a person who has undergone it has the right and duty to register a civil-status change. The Government portal hosts a draft Law on Gender Reassignment that would set the medical and registration process. The implementing law is still a draft.
