Landspítali’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Trans Team assesses and treats people under 18 who seek information or access to medical interventions and refers to pediatric endocrinologists. Under Article 11 of the Act on Gender Autonomy, permanent changes to genitals, gonads, or sex characteristics are not provided under 16 unless physical health requires it.
