On 27 September 2026, The Wall Street Journal published a profile of Jordan Campbell, “How a Business Litigator Became DOJ’s Point Man Against Transgender Care.”
Campbell is a Texas business litigator who co-founded Campbell Miller Payne in 2023. He now leads Justice Department civil and criminal probes of sex-rejecting interventions on minors.
The Journal reports that six large health systems have settled and dropped their youth programs. It says his work has been driven by conversations with detransitioners. Courts have blocked parts of the effort, and the department is appealing.
